Jo Mortimer studied at Plymouth College of Art & Design.

Formerly a resident artist at The Studio, Dartington, guest artist

at the Saatchi Gallery, London.

She first sold paintings in the 80's and has continued artwork throughout her

life using a range of media.

Having recently retired from a career in educational senior management, she has

returned to her love of art.

She currently finds inspiration in the beautiful Gers region of France, and the Friuli region in Italy, as well as from online photographers.
She has developed her original painting style using acrylic inks.

Her prints are created by drawing in ink, scanning into a computer and adding colour digitally, creating  interesting and unique results.

Her original paintings are then painted in acrylic inks from the original ink line drawings.

No prints are ever made from original paintings, ensuring that they remain unique.

Her work is selling at a local and national level,

with commissions in UK, USA, Czech Republic and France.

She also uses her work to support good causes.
